Plant: Poinsettia

No plant captures the Christmas spirit like the much-loved poinsettia. These hardy holiday favorites are generally available only in November and December. Today, though, there is a wide range of contemporary varieties beyond the traditional red. The colorful “flowers” on the plant are actually colored bracts, or modified leaves.
